-recognizing the number of objects in a set without counting (Subitizing)
-decomposing numbers
-to clap the number of syllables in words.
-sounding out words for writing (identifying the beginning and ending sounds in words)
-to identify letter sounds
-to identify rhyming words
-blending word parts
-to identify the letter (sound) we hear at the beginning of a word
-Animal habitats
